CSN 3 . 1 PBS Cork

The Mens Soccer Development squad enjoyed a comfortable 3.1 win over PBS at Tramore rd this afternoon with some fine individual displays. With CSN making over 10 changes to the original 11 starting players, they found it difficult at times to gel together.
PBS took advantage of this and forced Jonathan Murphy (Cpt) to make some fine defence decisions at times. Trevor Bateman also had a fine performace at centre back, while David Sheehan controlled the midfield before being replaced by Cannice Caffery who went on to score a a fine individul effort in the second half.
However it was John O Dwyer who replaced Lloyd O sullivan after 40mins and he was immiedetely involved in a number of attacks. The first half ended 0.0.
O Dwyer would score a fine left footed drive to open the scoring early in the second half, before Caffery added a second. Following 5 further subs CSN left space across the back four and PBS got in to get one back. However man of the match Ian Winters who played upfront gave a great display of consistant presure, and made some great runs all afternoon going by the PBS defence, only for his unselfish display he may have had a hatrick of goals. CSN finshed the game strongly with Brian Bell also creating chances. With CSN continuing to mount pressure, a third goal finished off the PBS. CSN will play CIT away next Thurs in round 1 of the regional mini league
